MORE ABOUT OUR JET BOAT TOURS
Will I get wet?
Most of our guests stay dry. These are high performance boats but
we do not do spins or other maneuvers to intentionally get everyone
wet. There may be some spray or rain but the boats have canopies and
we provide rain jackets if needed.
How many people will be on the boat?
We carry up to 6 passengers.
Are there bathrooms on the tour?
No, but there are facilities at our start and end point.
Do people get sea sick?
This is not very common, boating on a river is very different from
boating on the ocean.
Is reaching the glacier guaranteed?
Since we cannot control the river or the ice, we cannot guarantee
reaching the glacier. You can
still expect an enjoyable trip on the river.
Our boats can get you where you need to go! Film work, photo shoots, scientific study, we can get your crew and your gear to the most spectacular part of the glacier.
Alaska’s most accessible glacier is now even easier to enjoy! Here's an exciting, easy and fast way for you to explore the Matanuska Glacier and River. This is an adventure for the whole family not to be missed.
You'll board one of our specially built jet boats for an exhilirating ride up and down the mighty river. Piloted by our Coast Guard Licensed Captain, you'll experience the Class III rapids from the comfort of our boat.
Of the many wonderful things to do in Alaska, our jet boat tour offers the most diverse range of experiences at the price you are looking for. In addition to the boat ride itself, you will learn about the natural history of the area and the glacier that formed it. We'll look for wildlife on the banks of the river and water levels permitting you'll step off the boat onto an ancient and stunning glacier for an unrivaled photo opportunity!
On a Schedule? If you don't have a whole day to spend or are just looking to break up a long drive, this is the perfect trip for you. The trip lasts around an hour and a half, still leaving plenty of time to reach your destination.
Minimum age of 6 years. There is no maximum! Anyone that can fit in one of our life jackets and get themselves in and out of the boat is welcome to go.
Tours are approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes long.

What to wear:
Casual clothes and closed toe shoes good for walking. It’s often
colder on the river and on the glacier so an extra layer is
advised.
What to bring:
Although we cannot be responsible for damage to electronics,
we do recommend that you bring a camera. The risk of damage
is very slight.
A Word on Safety Your safety is our top priority.
Please understand that the river and glacier are constantly
changing and conditions are beyond our control. While we can
usually reach the glacier, occasionally river or ice levels
may limit our access.
